I started having lessons with Giselle during a very busy and stressful period with my work. I'm a freelance writer and was spending many hours a day hunched over my computer keyboard, trying to meet my deadlines. Giselle showed me how to sit with my neck free and shoulders open and relaxed. She told me how to correctly position the monitor and how to sit with my spine supported by a lumbar roll. More generally we worked on releasing tension in the body by keeping joints and limbs free, and I have found this very beneficial in all aspects of my day-to-day life. I thoroughly enjoyed the lessons, which were therapeutic in themselves, and would recommend Alexander lessons to anyone looking to improve their posture and general well-being.

I first began AT lessons with Giselle in order to improve my singing technique as I had been experiencing a lot of tension when I sang. My posture was slumped, my shoulders were rounded and often ached. Since working with Giselle I have experienced a huge improvement. She has taught me how to release tension in my body and access my natural flow. My posture is much better and I no longer experience pain in my shoulders. My singing technique has improved tremendously and through activities she set, I am now re-educating my mind and body to use the technique on a daily basis. I now feel much more energised and generally much less stressed.

I found attending sessions with Giselle very useful and informative. As a Pilates Teacher I knew about incorrect posture and the problems it can cause but needed help discovering more about my own posture. Giselle enabled me to identify my own postural problems, and helped me to correct them.

I attended an introductory workshop on Alexander Technique with Giselle in December and had a really enjoyable evening - her passion for the subject and years of experience really come across. The workshop was both informative and fun, with explanations on what the technique is about and practical tips & exercises on how to apply it in everyday life.
